Food units are so fun! I love bringing in real food for the kids to pass around circle time. Here are some additional resources for you next unit on food!

Zoo Animal Activity

Zoo Animal Activity

Learning about animals is always a fun unit. I developed some Play-Doh Mats, Pop-up Zoo and Flash Cards for accompany a Curious George at the Zoo Book and Super Simple Songs YouTube Video for my kids. The Pop-up Zoo is printable and great for teachers who have minimal toys and resources for their students.

A few months back one of my smartest students wanted me to teach him some more challenging animals for tricking his dad at hangman. I selected a capybara among other things. Last week, I finally saw one for the first time at Ocean Park in Hong Kong!

New project for me this week. I noticed may of my kids liked the flash cards, but they had a hard time recognizing shapes in their environment. I put together a activity that they loved, here it is:
